The Contemporary Craft Fair, Mill March Park Bovey Tracey Devon. In association with the Craft Council England UK

The Contemporary Craft Fair has attracted an impressive line up of leading craftspeople from the South West and from around the country including ceramics by Sasha Wardell, John Nuttgens and Virginia Graham, metal by Abbott & Ellwood and Brett Payne, jewellery by Tanja Ufer and Miranda Sharpe, textiles by Linda Miller, wood by Nick Barberton, glass by Potter Morgan plus many many more. It is now firmly established as one of the most prestigious craft events to be held in the UK.

With an exciting programme of events, The Contemporary Craft Fair promises to be bigger and better than before. The Contemporary Craft Fair is now in association with the Crafts Council, in recognition of the quality and innovation that the event represents. As well as the 160 exceptional craftspeople exhibiting and selling their work, there will also be an ambitious programme of educational initiatives taking place in and around Bovey Tracey. There will be exciting opportunities to take part in workshops for all ages, listen to inspiring master classes including potter Duncan Ayscough and basket maker Sarah Pank and watch demonstrations by leading makers including chain saw sculpture by Dominic Clare, wood turning with Sean Hellman. Plus adult workshops by wire sculptors Celia Smith and Lynn Walters, felt making with Liz Clay plus kiln building and firing, pot throwing plus much more. Not forgetting the massively popular Children’s Craft Tent, packed full of inspiring activities! There will also be on-site exhibitions by the Devon Guild of Craftsmen and by the Next Move participants, a Crafts Council initiative.

Continuing our aims to award excellence we will be giving £2000 to the Best Maker in the South West, The Candy Tiles Best Stand Award (£1000), The Best Newcomer Award (£500) and introducing for 2006, The Polka Dot Gallery Best Jeweller award (£500).

It is now firmly established as one of the most prestigious craft events to be held in the UK.

leather.

Our prestigious Craft Awards will be given to: The Best Maker in the South West (£2000), The Candy Tiles Best
