Papermaking using natural fibres. You can include your own pressed flower if you wish. All paper and silk fibres are provided.

11:00-13:00   Make A Willow fish V2  BT2

By selecting and preparing the provided willow appropriate to your own design, you will bend and weave to create your own willow fish.

11:00-13:00   Mosaics using recycled china    V3 BT3

Make a coaster or heartshaped mosaic using recycled china.  

11:00-13:00   Jewellery - Make A Bangle V4 BT4

Form silver wire into the shape you choose to make a bangle which you can personalise with the addition of your own charm.


14:00-16:00   Needle felting Animals V1 BT5

You will learn how to use a barbed needle and how to 'punch' it into sheepswool, transforming it into a small sculpted animal or fantasy creature.


14:00-16:00   Make a Willow plant support V2 BT6

You will bend, weave and manipulate willow into your desired shape to create your own plant support.

14:00-16:00   Stained Glass Boats V3  BT7

Learn stained glass techniques of copper foiling and soldering to create a stained glass hanging.

14:00-16:00   Jewellery Make a pendant V4 BT8

By sawing shapes from silver and then using hammering and punching techiques you will make your own pendant.

  • Craft a handmade book to learn the core techniques that you can then apply at home to bind your own books.
  • 11:00-13:00  Locker Hooking to make a coaster or pot stand  V2  BT10
  • Learn how to use a locker hooking needle to secure fabric strips to rug canvas to make a textile sample. 
  • 11:00-13:00  Spoon Carving  V3  BT11
  • You will start with a rough log and finish with a spoon or spatula that is truly individual, learning to use a hand axe, hook knife, pruning saw and whittling knife. 
  • 11:00-13:00  Silk painting - exploring colour & pattern  V4  BT12 
  • You will explore a variety of silk painting techniques to create your own unique silk painted design.
  • 14:00-16:00  Printmaking skills using 'softcut'  linocut techniques  V1  BT13
  • Learn printmaking that doesn't require a press.  Using 'Softcut' which is a material similar to lino but is easily cut cold; you will experiment with cutting and texture-making techinques to create a printed image.
  • 14:00-16:00  Needle Felt a picture  V2  BT14
  • Learn how to use a barbed needle to build up layers of coloured fleece to make a picture of your own design.
  • 14:00-16:00  Copper Wire Jewellery  V3 BT15
  • You will learn how to cold-work copper to make your own bracelet.
  • 14:00-16:00  Block printing canvas bag  V4  BT16
  • You will create your own unique printing block and print onto a canvas bag.

  • Learn a modern interpretation of traditional Japanese binding and create a small decorative photo album.
  • 11:00-13:00  Mosaics using recycled china  V2  BT18
  • Make a coaster of heartshaped mosaic using recycled china.
  • 11:00-13:00  Spoon Carving  V3  BT19
  • You will start with a rough log and finish with a spoon or spatula that is truly individual, learning to use a hand axe, hook knife, pruning saw and whittling knife.
  • 11:00-13:00  Stone Carving - cut a letter in stone V4  BT20
  • You will transfer a large letter onto limestone and learn to cut using traditional lettering chisels with a lettering hammer to create relief work.

  • An introduction to the skills of a printmaker while creating a simple design to hand-print an up-cycled bag.

All workshops are are subject to a fee of £18.00 +booking fee which is payable at time of booking. Workshop fee does not include entry into the show.  To book a workshop must be over 16 years of age.
